ALMOST A BRIDGE

The project deals with the revitalization of the former water tower in the village of Roudnice nad Labem. The tower is located on the banks of the Elbe River, a short distance from the town centre. There is also an obvious direct connection to the railway station and the railway body. In my studio I am designing an exhibition space with facilities and a bar. Materially, the design is based on an exhibition that deals with the history of bridge structures, so the exhibition itself is is located in the bridge structure. The realisation part deals with the interior design of the bar. The concept is transferred into it by means of glass blocks - luxfers, which are used to design the main part of the bar and the barrier.
