Unify

The main idea of the design is to unify the spaces on both squares, hence the name of the project. The project aims to increase the life at the square, remove the central parking lot, unify the character, lighten the dark places and illuminate the monuments, add water features, improve vegetation and recall the history of the site. The design elaborates on these goals in detail and offers solutions. Among the topics that the proposal focuses on more and which have been explored include pavement composition and grading, the selection of appropriate trees and other plants, unification and uniform placement of furnishings, including public lighting, and stormwater management.
