New City Hall and Bus Station Zlín

Malik Ćatović

Annotation

The design of the new Zlín City Hall is based on the concept of the urban termination of the lower side of Gahur Avenue. The location of the new City Hall is on the site of the existing bus station, while the new bus station is moved to the north side of the site and is part of the design. The City Hall consists of two interconnected buildings: a 23-storey tower building to the east and a lower three-storey building to the west, connected by a connecting bridge at level 3. The external appearance of the City Hall is inspired by the industrial character of the former Svít complex. The bus station is designed to meet the current and future needs of the city. The overall urban solution follows the principles of the arrangement of buildings in the area.
