The site on the corner of Velflíková and Jugoslávských partyzánů streets offers a new space for a building for the FIT faculty of CTU, but with quite some challenges in terms of size and program.
Clean lines and sharp edges are defining elements in this project’s design and in combination with a layout of floor plans that follows a rather simple logic enable an easy orientation within the building.
The features that keep the design interesting are the generous stair cases that additionally offer Respirium Spaces, encouraging casual encounters with fellow colleagues, as well as the fritted glass facade, visible steel trusses in the Aula and a Cafe at the top floor.
