City Gate Na Stráži - Zenklova

The square Na Stráži is a crossing of two axes, one transit and one urban. On the first one lies the Pankrác Arcades, the Congress Center, the National Museum, the main railway station, the future Vltava Philharmonic or the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the UK. On the other axis there are 9 beauty salons, 4 convenience stores, 4 pizza shops and 6 kebab shops. Why doesn't the city work here? The construction ban here in recent decades has prevented the city from growing and flourishing. But why couldn't the city be closer to the freeway, the same way it is in other places in Prague.
