Urban central station

The proposal works with the transformation of the periphery into a fully functional and living part of the city. The basis is the reintroduction of the boulevard in front of the historical train station building. Here, passing traffic is calmed down and the infrastructure for public transport and cycling is enhanced. Newly, this avenue is lined with active parterres and a trees. The park is compacted and more clearly defined, thereby reducing hard-to-control places. The new block development above the railway tracks connects Žižkov with the New Town without disturbing the Prague skyline, and increases the overall permeability of the area. The station complex itself is activated by new operations on the roof of the new arrivals hall and on the site of the former ramps.
