CONTEMPORARY THEATRE - BREWERY REVITALISATION IN POSTOLOPRTY

The brewery complex is articulated around two courtyards. The first one to the west is surrounded on either side by tall buildings which accommodate a restaurant and museum to the west and a theatre to the east. The second courtyard is larger and rectangular. It is surrounded by four wings, one being the theatre and the others composing an activity centre. The goal behind introducing a theatre to the complex is to create a local tourism destination. The theatre stage is introduced in the biggest space of the building, with an addition of transformable stage and audience seating parts. Aside from the main theatre functions, the building includes a public cafe with an outdoor terrace facing the open courtyard and a pavilion-type gallery.
