Exhibition of Studio Projects

Annotation

The project, aimed at healing the urban scar left by the Liberecká highway in Prague 8, derives its name from the Latin word for rice. The terrain modeling used in the study is inspired by the shape of rice fields. The design creates a green, sustainable, and resilient environment on the site of the former busy highway, which is now hidden in a tunnel. The main goal was to create a human-scale, comfortable, and vibrant area where people can primarily rely on public transportation and a system of bike paths instead of using cars. The project is shaped mainly by the hilly terrain of the valley and the existing historical paths, trails, and unfinished blocks.
