Annotation
There is a stereotype that a retirement home is a place away from the urban environment that offers peace and nature, but at the same time always cuts the residents off from outside communication. Could such a home in the city provide the same quality of life for the elderly? I tried to answer this question and find a balance between openness and enclosure, interaction and safety of spaces designed for senior living. The design exploits the potential of the location and combines the benefits of an urban environment with the tranquility of the adjacent park and stream, integrating into the city while providing privacy.
