Skate-line Holešovice

In the area in front of Prague's Výstaviště, through which the new railway overpass passes, we proposed the modification of a public space with a cafe, a park area and a linear track for skateboarding. We placed a grassy area with trees and a skateboard track in the center of the treated area, which passes directly under the overpass and thus gives a pleasant use to this otherwise problematic place. The reinforced concrete structure of the track is embedded in the grass area, above which it is slightly elevated. We placed vertical waves at the beginning of it, which enable a quick start on the skateboard. We also added wall turns, a tunnel, curb and hemisphere shaped obstacles to the track and a tilted hollow hemisphere at the end of the track. We chose a distinctive blue color.
