The Garden Behind The City Wall

Parkán in Jindřichov Hradec offers a unique space. Thanks to its linear dominance and stone side walls, it hints at the character of the nearby monastery church. The space is laid out with the idea of ​​liturgical dramaturgy. You enter through the welcoming arms in the form of sitting in the shape of a palm, continue through a grove of trees that ends at a children's playground with a small slope for sunbathing on the opposite side. Next is the main nave with three vaulted grasses created from a rope structure, which is overgrown with climbing flowering vines that evoke the character of the side walls already overgrown with oleander and ivy. As a culmination, there is a "shrine" serving as a summer cultural focal point with a summer stage.
