ZENKLOVA "Sheltered housing and a day care center for the mentally disabled"

Aneta Marysková

Annotation

Escape from reality, home, care, joy. The house for the mentally disabled offers all of this. In the new world behind the walls of noisy Zenklova Street, people live and learn how housing works with the help of assistants. They meet together while creating, working in the garden, resting, or perhaps making music. Sheltered housing is a residence service provided to persons with reduced self-sufficiency requiring the assistance of a social worker. Residents learn how to function in the home, hygiene habits and other routine matters of everyday life. Other clients also spend their time in the day care center in a smaller building under the constant supervision of a social worker. There is also a small cafe also for the public, where clients can also participate.
