Retirement home Wave

The retirement home is located on I.P.Pavlova Street in Karlovy Vary. The site is separated by a line of buildings from the biggest rush of spa town. The plot is characterized by a steeply sloping site and the surrounding houses, which set the tone and height of my design. The concept is based on the curved street line, which also indicates the visual curve of the roof part. The ground floor works as a social and dining area. We can also find a cafe in it, which serves not only for seniors, but also for the public. On the second floor is designed a day care center and larger apartments. The upper floors are connected to the terrace, which illuminates the common rooms. Due to the sloping site, there is the possibility of connecting the pathway in the park above with the top floor.
