Klárov Visitors' Centre

The visitor centre designed on the site of Park Holubička serves as a new starting point for visitors to the Lesser Town. Its location next to the Malostranská metro station, and walking distance to nearby tourist sites makes it an ideal place to start and end tours. The building houses an information centre, lecture room, relaxation area and a café, everything you need for a pleasant time. The massing of the centre respects it's surroundings and the pigmented concrete façade fits in with the historic buildings nearby. The object is designed around a central, green atrium, which replaces the original park. A covered walkway allows for unobstructed movement between the buildings, and a newly created connection to the castle steps relieves pedestrian traffic on the existing walkway.
