Jan Vodňanský primary school

Between the river and Jankovcova street there is a forgotten place which has never fulfilled it’s goal during the history. The block built up of fragmented industrial building was chosen by the city district as in ideal location for future development, even including a new primary school. The urban design concept follows the unfinished and chaotic character of this district, but also brings new solution that are rather an exception in this locality. The space is defined by three towers in the corners and the school with a courtyard and kindergarten in the middle. In the southern part, there is also a smaller square, which is missing in this part of the city. The primary school is divided into two blocks, lower and higher, with common areas on the lowest floors. Both parts are connected by
