Betyna reconstruction

The Bety department store in the centre of Týn nad Vltavou is emptying out. It does not offer good conditions according to the demands of today's shops that are moving out of the city. Horní Brašov Street is slowly dying. We are reducing the skeleton from the late 1980s to a usable part for commerce and bringing it closer to the scale of the city. We are inverting the concept of the house, opening it up to the streets. We are proposing ample parking. We also make the rooftop parking accessible to the first floor of the store and propose housing on top of it. On Brasov we are returning to the original street line. On the roof of the department store, we are proposing housing in single-family homes that fit into the fabric of the medieval town center with their mass and scale.
