FUN TEMPLE

Prague skaterboarders have no place to play in the winter. I am turning the parking lot on the prominent plot of Kampa into an informal institution for street and other sports. The hall two floors above the ground hides a hundred riders, ten of whom ride at the same time. It does not hinder the permeability of the territory and furthermore forms a shelter from rain for other activities. Spaces for them are divided by newly planted greenery and pillars, in which there are facilities for both the hall and the outdoor sports grounds. The pillars also contain an additional program of bistro, gallery and halls. The profiled skatepark slab imprinted into the ceiling of the outdoor space as the only element disturbs the pure monumental material and conveys an unusual view to users and passers-by.
