In modern cities, where efficient use of every available space is a priority, I decided to focus my design on seating for stairs. Stairs are often overlooked as potential spots for comfortable seating. While not every staircase is suitable for this purpose, some naturally lend themselves to creating new and flexible spaces. For example, I’ve noticed that cafés or viewpoints often use stairs as seating areas, as seen at Café Emazy. My design features a bench that adapts to various stair dimensions. Made from wooden planks, the bench is designed to fit seamlessly on staircases of different inclines. This universal and flexible concept can be tailored to suit a wide range of stair types.
