Atelier Gate

On one side is a busy street, on the other a quiet place with a much-visited habitat. Between these two worlds there stands the Atelier Gate. The building is entered through the courtyard. This courtyard is the heart of the design, it is raised above terrain and surrounded by a wall to distance itself as much as possible from busy roads and from the first second make the visitor feel like he/she is in a quieter environment, where he/she is protected from the disturbance of the surrounding world. The courtyard also connects two monumental masses that form the building. In the upper two-storey there is a gallery and atelier, where exhibitions and workshops can be held for the public.
