House for Pénelope

The inspiration for the concept was the mythical story of Odysseus, the king of Ithaca, who leaves for ten long years in pursuit of variety of adventures. But who takes care of his wife in his absence, if not he himself? Pénelope is lonely and frequently harrased by many calloused suitors. The architectural construction in the middle of the open sea offers a peaceful place for her unquenchable hope. However it also serves as a shelter from the hands of many men who are trying to reach her fortune and beauty. For them the peace and quiet turns into secrecy and uncertainty.
