MAŠÉNA – HOUSE FOR A TRAIN NERD
The house for a family of four is located on the former train loading ground in Račice nad Trotinou, which runs along the track of Hněvčeves - Smiřice. The design is trying to connect the house with a passing train, therefore all the rooms have a view of passing trains. I tried to achieve that with a round floor plan with an annulus. The house is divided by rails into two parts. These parts are connected by bridges through the living roof.
