House for a monumental sculptor

In the sandstone hillside of the street Na Okraji (Prague – Petřiny), I designed a house with a studio for a sculptor – an intern, working with various types of stone. As the house is intended for temporary housing and its users will change, living and working spaces are designed in a balanced ratio of two separate masses, with regard to the complexity of sculptural work. The house is situated in the steepest part of the lot and with stepped terraces connects to a gradual garden, which serves both for relaxation and for exhibiting sculptures.
