Jan Zrzavý art gallery

The gallery is used for the exhibition of paintings by one of the representatives of moder art Jan Zrzavý. Gallery is located on the shore of the Vodňany pond. In the building a certain gradation is evident, which implies the rise and character of the artist from the lowest point, which implies his modesty, to the highest, from which follows his success and the peak of his career. This gradation is balanced by the opposite tower building,which has the meaning of humility. Spatial solution is raumplan through its labyrinth in the aboveground part of the building leads the way to the view of the pond and the scenery of the hills. A free space opens up in the underground part of the building, the main essence of which is to pay attention to the gradation of the rooms on the first floor.
