ŠTVANICE PAVILION

I have chosen the topic of landscape for the task of the pavilon on the Prague island Štvanice. After an initial consideration of how a visitor of my pavilion should feel, I decided to create a pavilion that could be described as public & private. Under the meaning of the word public, I imagine a hot open meadow or a forest in the landscape, and under the meaning of the word private I imagine a cave. My pavilion is divided into two levels. The visitor first walks through a light-interesting part of the cave. It is built of concrete, so you feel safe and have a sense of privacy there. As soon as he walks up the staircase, he will have a beautiful view of the quiet eastern part of the island.
