Reading room in Černošice

The assignment of the studio work was to design a smaller building for the public on a plot of land located in Dolní Černošice. From it you look across the river Berounka to the villa town Černošice. In its vicinity there is both a weir, cycle paths and a train stop, as well as the city center. I chose a building with a reading room function. You can bring a book here and give it a second chance. At the same time you can carry away another one for free. Thanks to large windows, the building provides plenty of daylight and a direct view of the surrounding nature and the river. This creates an environment suitable for reading, contemplation and concentration. On the roof there is an ornament in the shape of a trefoil, whic
