SIN GALLERY

Laura Lukoszová

Annotation

When designing this gallery, I was inspired by the sine function. I was fascinated by its symmetry and rhythm, which I then tried to express in my design. The gallery itself is a linear element raised by monolithic ribs in the shape of a quarter of an ellipse, which form a sine function both in plan and in view. However, the smooth movement occurs not only optically in the exterior, but also inside the gallery, in the way visitors walk through it. The interior is divided into two floors separated by steel grating for a more open feeling inside the building.
