An Artist's House

The studio is designed for a mural artist. The concept of my project lies in an elevated studio, of which the ground clearance reaches the partially covered terrace in the 3rd upper floor. This provides the artist with sufficient space for her work. The penthouse roof window facing north creates pleasant lighting in the room. On the 2nd floor there is a living space which is separated from the working part of the house. This avoids a collision of the day and night zones. On the lowest floor there is a completely covered terrace with a two-storey awning, which is supported by columns. This design creates a semi-open space and gives the whole object airiness and lightness.
