An Artist's House

The main project of this semester was the "House for Artists". The house I designed is for Sonia Juračková, a freelance artist and my friend. Her art is chaotic, open, whimsical, and it's not just her canvases, she also makes interior elements: rugs and vases. Designing a house for such a creative person was tricky, but I think it worked. The advantage was that Sonia and I know each other personally, and I had a real communication about the design and wishes with the person I was designing the house for. The concept of the house is coloured blocks - parts of the house. The individual blocks are distinguished by the colours of the window frames.
