The Gardener´s House

The aim of the project in Prague Liboc was to bring two functions together - private living for the keeper of a local garden, and a community centre, where the locals can meet and organise different events, workshops or celebrations. It was important to create a space with a pleasant atmosphere, so that the centre is a friendly place where people from the neighbourhood like to go to and participate in community activities. At the same time, the gardener has his own place, which is vertically separated but at the same time connected to the life taking place downstairs. By combining these aspects I created a new form, which gives the existing neighbourhood a new appearance.
