STROMOVKA GALLERY

Martin Tlamka

Annotation

The meadow, which I chose as the ideal location for the gallery, offers relaxation and escape from the hustle and bustle of the big city. The gallery was specifically designed for paintings by the Romantic landscape painter, William Turner. His paintings are so magnificent that the interior of the gallery itself should only complement them and highlight their qualities. That's why I chose the vault as an ideal element that evokes a feeling of intimacy in the interior and resembles waves in the exterior. The journey to the gallery begins in the covered entrance, which is intended to acclimatize visitors to the spatial functioning of the gallery. Subsequently, the journey ends in the English backyard, where visitors can absorb the experience of the gallery to the sound of water.
