PLAYGROUND IN THE CLOUDS

The municipal dovecote is designed for Riegrovy Sady in Prague. It reflects the park as a playful place full of life and tries to give the pigeons the home and joy they deserve. It creates a living object suspended between the trees and thus many places where pigeons can rest and fly - pigeons sit on perches on the roof, on the facade and on ropes. Support ropes run through the trees and connect their world to ours. The form of the dovecote reflects the scale of the pigeon for efficient use of space. It is made of a steel structure that is sheathed with wooden planks that refer to the load-bearing elements - trees.
