SLAVÍN MEMORIAL II

In Vyšehrad, next to the Basilica of St. Peter and Paul, lies a small corner, an ideal place to relax, in both senses of the word. By lowering the raised platform to the level of the church, the space increases in size and allows us to use the space between the choir pillars for benches. By extending the cemetery wall, we can achieve the closure of the cemetery area, with a side gate connecting the perimeter wall to the church facade. Slavín is in the form of a columbarium, in front of which stands a small fountain. However, this implementation would compromise the existing memorial to the church victims of the times of totalitarianism. With their merits and work not only for the church, we can without a doubt include them among the personalities worthy of Slavín.
