FAMILY HOUSE WITH CARVING WORKSHOP
Annotation
A two-story family house with a workshop is located in Prague 6, in the district Petřiny. Access to the house is via a footbridge running along the eastern part of the building. The house is divided into 2 buildings with a common terrace, which are connected to each other by a bridge. My goal was to maintain a distance between the workspace and the family space, but not completely
separate. That's why I chose not only a bridge to connect the buildings, but also an outdoor atrium. It can thus be seen from one space to the other, without interfering with each other. This created an indirect connection between family and work space. The entire facility thus creates compatibility between work and family life surroundings.
