Slavin II

Extension of the Slavin by stretching the existing arcade around the tomb. The arcade rises and wraps around the resting place of Czech greats. My project extends the arcade in a semicircle around Slavin. The project is inspired by the monumentality of the cemeteries themselves and is separated from the existing Vyšehrad cemetery, which is now used a lot by tourists. It creates a private space free of intruders, as a national cemetery should be.
