Temporary housing for refugees in Smíchov

The house by the rail road is designed as temporary housing for refugees. Specifically three families. It is therefore designed with young children in mind. The living rooms are oriented to the public space. The staircases, corridors and utility rooms are by the railway line, due to the noise from passing trains. The ground floor, which is open to the public and functionally separated from the rest of the building, houses a recording studio as well as a community room, suitable for workshops, learning, relaxation and celebrations. On the second floor we find two apartments, on the third floor a third apartment and a terrace, exclusively for the residents of the building. The terrace has many uses. Whether it's a communal barbecue, gardening or simply enjoying the fresh air.
