House for Barbara Hepworth

Barbara Hepworth, an important British sculptor, one of the leading founders of modern art and also the inspiration for the creation of this house. The building is adapted for work, living and also exhibitions. The main element and the core of the whole house is a small lighted outdoor atrium. The layout is based on two separate parts on the ground floor, a sculpture studio and a living space. The main idea was to conceptually separate the work of an artist from ordinary family life. For this reason, both spaces are connected only on the second above-ground floor.
