STATUE FOR DAVID ČERNÝ

For this assignment I chose the controversial Czech artist David Černý. The house looks very sculptural, as David Černý works most of the time as a sculptor. It is also to serve as a surface for the installation of his works. It consists of two main forms, the smaller one serves as a studio and the larger one is David Černý's apartment itself. The whole building is made of concrete. An interesting element in the interior is the connection of all the floors, which is illuminated by a large skylight.
