House for Michal Cihlář

The house for printmaker Michal Cihlář and sculptor Veronika Richterová is located in Petřiny in the street Na Okraji. The building stands on a steep northern slope, which allows view on Šárecké údolí or on peaks of České středohoří. The form of the house is made up of three receding slanted cuboids, which copy the countour lines of the site. Slanting of cuboids also creates terraces for each floor. The key element of the building is also mainly glazed northern facade, which brings light to ateliers of both artists. The house has 3 floors in total. The first floor is concipated as residential, the second one, located below the terrain line is private. The lowest floor serves as a place for ateliers, which can be connected to one large working space.
