"Špalíček" Náchod

We have applied the form of the "špalíček" in a figurative sense to multi-storey houses with small plots of land, where the ground floor and possibly other floors used for the operation of a shop, a trade or a space used for the operation of a particular profession are always occupied by an apartment for the operator of the trade. I have chosen the sale of house plants as my trade. I love plants myself and think that connecting nature with both the exterior and interior is absolutely key in the design of any building, perhaps even more so in cities where nature often becomes an oppressed component of space. In my design, I sought to create a generous atypical apartment, a shop with ample retail space, and to link these two components together with the exterior into one large growing entity
