DuckHouse

My semester work is floating houses for ducks on Mníšecký castle pond. These houses are commonly placed on water to provide shelter for duck pairs. My DuckHouse consists of two separate "rooms" in a semicircular cherry wood booth. It is located on the pier, with the same floor plan. The entire object will remain above the surface of the pond either thanks to a floating structure with empty barrels or thanks to the addition of fixed stakes. Together with the DuckHouses, I also designed a place from where the residents of Mníšek pod Brdy can feed the ducks on sunny days (the so-called feeder). It is a small platform - a jetty, thanks to which it is possible to get closer to the water at muddy shores. The platform would be also made of wooden planks and have a semi-circular plan.
