Sophie Taeuber-Arp Galerie

This gallery is dedicated to Sophie Taeuber-Arp, a swiss artist of 20th century, who became one of the most influential representatives of dadaism and constructivism. Sophie revolved around simplicity, practicality and creativity. This projected not only into her work but lifestyle too. Sophie used geometrical shapes in her creations. In her opinion, we get a better image of the structure and proportions by simplifying things. The gallery is inspired by Sophie´s thinking rather than her life story. Different parts of the gallery concentrate on different art disciplines, which Sophie took notice of. The main purpose is to incite the visitor to think about elementary principles and find inspiration.
