LINEAR PARK MICHLE

The diploma thesis deals with the design of the Trať Linear Park connecting Prague districts of Vršovice, Michle, Záběhlice and Krč. Park will connect important green areas in the southern part of Prague through abandoned areas along the railway infrastructure, significantly improve the permeability of the entire locality, encourage the use of alternative modes of transport and offer space for everyday leisure. The design works with the preservation of the so-called urban wilderness, accentuates the railway character of the site and divides the whole area into three different zones according to specific characters. The Trať Linear Park will serve not only as a place for people to move and recreate, but also as a functional element of green infrastructure.
