House for Pénelope

The house is conceived as a simple object. Its dominant feature is the narrowing staircase, expressing the path and power of Penelope, as the queen of Ithaca. The interior space can be divided into two parts. The main one, with the possibility of meeting and easy access to the sea via a staircase lining the front wall of the house. The mezzanine floor is exclusively for Penelope. It also functions as a gallery so that Odysseus can be viewed from there as well.
