Dům pro Pénelope

Richard Maršík

Annotation

The semester project "House for Penelope" proposes a personal residence for the wife of the hero Odysseus on the island of Ithaca. The goal is to create a space that combines comfort, intimacy, and visual connection with the anticipation of Odysseus' return. The house is elegantly integrated into the rocky terrain, organically emerging from the rocks, and a bridge extends towards the sea, symbolically connecting Penelope and Odysseus. The architecture reflects not only functional needs but also the emotional aspects, offering tranquility and security, fostering a connection with nature, and anticipating Odysseus' return.
