Multi-surface mirror inspired by Venetian mirrors

Anastasia Adabashyan

Annotation

Venetian mirrors, originating in the 16th century in the Italian city of Venice, are masterpieces with a significant emphasis on the use of reflective surfaces. They not only highlight the functionality of mirrors but also the potential to create artistic works through playing with reflections. The object follows the tradition of Venetian masters who emphasized the use of reflective materials. Its form is inspired by crystals. Simple asymmetrical geometric shapes create a captivating interplay with mirrored surfaces. The triangular shape and open surfaces provide an unusual perspective from every angle, allowing for dynamic plays of light. The mirror reacts to light and its surroundings, contributing to the overall atmosphere of the room.
