Dívčí hrady Observatory

The observatory is located on pasture next to a tourist route in Dívčí hrady. The location offers panoramatic views of Praha 5 and the surrounding area. The shape of the floorplan was created from a pentagon, which I made in our previous assignment. The pentagon is mirrored along its axis and adjusted for a dome. The observatory is a non-insulated wooden building on a concrete foundation with a durable metal shell with a reflective surface. The machine for the hydraulic piston is located in the concrete foundations. The windows are equipped with a blackout curtain from the inside which paired with the open dome makes for an experience.
