JIŽNÍ MĚSTO HOUSING ESTATE

The topic of this diploma project is public space in the housing-estate of Jižní Město in Prague. The design reveals the unique potential that housing estates offer from the point of landscape architecture compared to other, more densely built-up parts of the city. Through functional, spatial and procedural principles, it shows a way to bring Jižní Město towards higher social and environmental sustainability. The work is structured from general program, through examples of model spaces to the design of Central Park, which is defined as a key public space.
