Vimperk pavilion - Kopeček

This small pavilion is located in Vimperk in the garden of the current municipal office. The assignment was to create an exhibition pavilion for the results of an ongoing architectural competition and to commemorate the legacy of Johann Steinbrener, the founder of a former printing company.

We were inspired by the view that the garden offers as well as by the Šumava hills. The pavilion runs along the wall of the former printing house and consists of two parts - an exhibition corridor and a ramp. The ramp takes visitors up to the window level of the former printing house and gives them a view of the surrounding landscape. In the window is a historic photo of the company. It is a subtle batten construction with a translucent fiberglass roof.
