Kostičky (The Cubes)

We had decided to explore the potential of the cube shape. While creating, we were playing with contrast between full and empty spaces, with different sizes of the cubes and their position. We had wanted to create individual space for each displayed project.

The pavilion consists of black cubes, which are put on the construction of larger exhibition cubes. The black ones focus on Johann Steinbrener. Inside, the visitor is surrounded by an abstract display of Steinbrener's life (success, books, faith). The whole structure of the pavilion is dominated by „chimney“ with a ladder inside, which allows the visitor to look around the site of the planned reconstruction.
