MEMENTO Gallery

The Film Gallery project addresses the connection between architecture and cinematography. In the creation of Gallery MEMENTO I was primarily inspired by the technical aspects of the film. These time principles were transformed into simple diagrams which determined the square floor plan and the repeating triangular shape as a prominent design element. A solid concrete form is created, which is further asymmetrically divided by a triangle into two parts, between which communication functions through glass walkways. The entire interior space is formed by a glass facade, which strongly contrasts with the concrete structure. The external appearance of the gallery aims to create a sense of mystery and unknown, enticing visitors with a desire to discover what is hidden inside the building.
